Horimiya is a great example of a flawless manga. It can even be described as one of a kind.

The manga follows the story of a girl named Hori and a boy named Miyamura. Hori is a popular, friendly, and smart girl at school while Miyamura is the quiet, glasses-wearing otaku. The two are completely different. But at home, Hori sheds her school image into a daughter who stays home to look after her younger brother and does all the chores because her parents are busy. Miyamura in turn, wears piercings and reveals his multiple tattoos. When the two happen to meet, they develop a strong friendship, which soon turns into something else.
Though Horimiya does not focus on a single storyline, and goes off in different directions, telling different stories about the characters, it does so with a charm that is attractive and simple that other mangas lack.

The characters are funny and endearing. The thing about Horimiya is that since its plot revolves around the whole group of friends, each chapter or two catching a different situation, that means that the characters’ personalities are beautifully displayed. Even though I often get tired of manga where new characters are endless introduced, Horimiya’s are different. They all have their own charm, each completely different than the rest.
The art style is beautiful. Clean cut, with attractive character designs, it’s certainly something to see and suits the story very well.
Unlike the one I did of Tokyo Ghoul,I am going to finish this review on a positive note. Horimiya is a wonderful example of how sometimes, simple things shine amongst the complex. It is a wonderful manga that displays a sweet love, and I highly recommend it to any people looking for some romance genres.
